Aidan O'Kane and Rory Hamill challenge for the ball
Linfield returned to winning ways with a thumping 4-0 win over Cliftonville in Monday night's JJB Premiership game.
Paul Munster turned the ball in after William Murphy knocked the ball down for the striker in the fourth minute.
Murphy added the second on 17 minutes, following up to score after John Connolly had saved from Glenn Ferguson.
Michael Carvill fired a low left-foot shot into the bottom corner of the net on 35 and Munster headed home a Billy Joe Burns cross just before half-time.
Cliftonville manager Eddie Patterson says that defensive errors went a long way towards their 4-0 defeat by Linfield at the JJB Sports Premiership.
The champions came out strongly from the start with Munster's opener and then Murphy reaching the ball first in a goalmouth scramble after Connolly saved Ferguson's header.
Cliftonville responded in the 24th minute but Alan Mannus collected George McMullan's effort at the second attempt to maintain his side's two-goal advantage.
Ciaran Donaghy had a header cleared off the line but then Munster teed up Carvill for the Blues' third after Damian Curran's left-foot free-kick.
Munster converted a Burns right-wing cross on 44 minutes for the final goal of the game.
After the break, Ferguson headed just wide from an Aidan O'Kane cross and O'Kane was just off-target with a left-foot drive.
Mannus saved well from Donaghy in the dying moments.
