Morten Nordstrand of Copenhagen attempts an overhead kick
Cliftonville went down 4-0 to Danish outfit FC Copenhagen in their Uefa Cup first qualifying round first leg at Mourneview Park on Thursday night.
Hjalte Norregaard made it 1-0 with a close range finish after 25 minutes and Jose Junior added the second with a blistering shot from 15 yards on 67.
Zdenek Pospech scored with a low shot inside the post from well outside the penalty area ten minutes later.
Junior completed the rout with an 82nd minute spectacular 15-yard volley.
Kieran O'Connor fired a free-kick over the bar for the Reds early on while Morten Nordstrand saw his overhead attempt well saved by John Connolly.
Norregaard opened the scoring from six yards out after meeting a right-wing cross by former Rangers player Libor Sionko.
Sionko also sent a free-kick over the bar and then William Kvist hit the post in first-half stoppage time.
Junior scored his first with a brilliant turn and shot into the roof of the net from 15 yards out and the Danes scored twice more to take total control of the tie.
