Stephen Kenny's Derry side were held at home by Galway
Derry City failed to score for the fourth league game in a row as bottom club Galway United claimed a deserved point at the Brandywell.
Galway, looking for their first point under new boss Jeff Kenna, had the best chance of the first half but former Derry player Stephen O'Flynn shot over.
Derry pushed strongly toward the end but United keeper Gary Rogers saved from Mark Farren and Conor Sammon.
The result means City drop a place to fourth in the Eircom League.
