Trevor Hutchinson took advantage of an Adam McMinn mistake to equalise from six yards out after 48 minutes.
Austin Friel swept the ball in from 12 yards after a cross from Terry Fitzpatrick on 74 minutes to restore the Swifts' lead but McVey levelled.
After Tomelty's opener, McCormick saved a McMinn header and Clanachan had an effort blocked by Wells.
Wells produced another fine save to deny Alan Ewart before the goals started to flow.
