Dungannon's Mark McAllister scored and then was sent off |
Limavady United remain on the bottom of the Carnegie Irish Premier League table after Saturday's home draw against Dungannon Swifts. Ormand Okunaiya, Austin Friel and Mark McAllister missed early chances for Dungannon before Ryan McIlmoyle struck Limavady ahead on 17 minutes.
McAllister levelled three minutes after the break and keepers Glen Millar and Dwayne Nelson both made great saves.
Goalscorer McAllister was sent off late on after getting a second yellow card.
Both teams also had penalty claims in the second half.
Dungannon custodian Nelson appeared to have fouled McIlmoyle while Austin Friel felt that he had been fouled in the other penalty box as well.
There was a flurry of late chances at either end which included Nelson's great save to deny Limavady substitute Matthew Boyd in injury-time.
McAllister got his second yellow card after being adjudged to have dived.
Limavady move to 17 points in the table but they remain at the bottom of the table after Larne's win at Armagh City.
However, the Roesiders are only a point behind second-bottom Institute.
