Darren Boyce celebrates scoring for Glentoran

Colin Nixon broke the deadlock with a 28th minute penalty after a handball by Hugh Dickson and then Tuda Murphy denied David Scullion with a fine save.

Paul Carvill hit the woodwork with a free-kick for Glenavon, with the ball appearing to cross the line but the goal was not awarded.

Scullion headed over but then netted on 72 and Boyce added the third with a looping header over Murphy at the end.

Glens goalkeeper Michael Dougherty produced fine saves from Adrian Harper and Gerard McMahon.
