Davitt Walsh netted in the fifth minute of stoppage time to complete a dramatic late comeback for Ballymena.

A Colin Coates header gave the Crues a 20th minute lead and Stevie Coulter's deflected strike put the visitors 2-0 ahead seven minutes after the break.

Crusaders defender Barry Spence was sent-off on 70 minutes for a two-footed challenge on Mark Picking.

Gavin Melaugh levelled from a rebound with a minute left before Walsh fired home from a Garth Scates free-kick.

Crues keeper Aaron Kerr turned away a Gary Haveron free-kick in the first half while Coulter volleyed against the bar.

David Rainey wasted a great opportunity for Crusaders before the break when he was denied by keeper Paul Murphy in a one-on-one.

Melaugh pounced to score after Michael Ward's lob struck a post.

The draw stretches Ballymena's unbeaten run to 14 games.
