Peter Thompson salutes Linfield fans after scoring at Loughgall
Holders Linfield made it into the sixth round of the JJB Sports Irish Cup with Peter Thompson (2) and Thomas Stewart scoring in a 3-0 win at Loughgall.

A mistake by goalkeeper Marc Robinson let Thompson in to score on 47, the striker netted on 71 and Stewart on 85.

Stephen Munn's 74th-minute winner saw Bangor win 2-1 at Glenavon, Marty Verner having equalised with a penalty on 45 after Trevor Molloy scored on 16.

Glentoran and Lisburn Distillery drew 0-0 and Cliftonville beat Larne 3-2.

Goals from George McMullan (20) and Francis Murphy (43) put Cliftonville 2-0 ahead but Aaron Black (70) and Kyle Moran (82) netted for Larne before Chris Scannell scored the winner after 84.

Newry City went ahead through a Johnny Flynn own goal on 13 minutes against Ballymena but Simon Kelly (29) levelled, Kevin Kelbie put United in front on 48, and Chris Morgan's first goal for Newry ten minutes later secured a replay.

Gary McCutcheon's 77th-minute goal at home to Newington YC saw Portadown through and Limavady drew 1-1 against Dungannon at the Showgrounds, Mark McAllister breaking the deadlock for Swifts on 78 and Barry Curran equalising a minute later.

Seamus Brown and Eamon Doherty both scored a brace in Crusaders' 5-1 success at Armagh City, Brown setting the Crues on their way on 20 and 22 minutes and Doherty finding the net on 63 and 75.

Gary Fitzpatrick pulled one back on 79 but Seaview top scorer David Rainey got in on the act to restore his side's four-goal lead after 83.

Davy Patton's 54th-minute goal was enough to see Coleraine progress 1-0 at the expense of Tobermore United and Stephen McAlorum (45) and Paul McVeigh (54 and 87) scored as Donegal Celtic defeated Carrick Rangers 3-0 at Suffolk Road.

Institute were the day's top scorers, romping home 6-0 against Dunmurry Rec at Drumahoe, with strikes from Ryan McCreadie (22), Declan Divin (31,84), David Ogilby (44), Andy Crawford (72) and Philip Lowry (86).

Hotshot Matt Burrows helped himself to a hat-trick to see Dundela through 4-0 at the expense of Portstewart, Stephen Gourley having opened the scoring with a first-half penalty.

Andy Neill, Stephen Barr and Daniel Pasashivescu were goalscorers in Abbey Villa's 3-2 win at Banbridge Town, despite the home side having taken a 2-0 lead through David Irwin and Seamus Kane.

Ballyclare and Ballymoney United played out a goalless draw at Dixon Park.
