Andy Crawford's early headed effort was saved by Philip Matthews and Institute goalkeeper Michael Doherty did well to palm away an Andy Waterworth chance.

Crawford was again out of luck when his second-half header came off the post.

Institute had another chance to score when David Ogilby saw his effort rebound off Stuart Thompson and into the arms of keeper Matthews.
