McCabe put on list by Dungannon
Shane McCabe
Shane McCabe is set to leave Premier League club Dungannon
Dungannon Swifts manager Harry Fay has placed captain Shane McCabe on the transfer list.

The midfielder was given the news after arriving for Friday night's home game against Donegal Celtic, which was postponed because of fog.

"The decision has been taken in the best interests of the club and I also feel at this time the player needs a new challenge," said Fay.

McCabe moved to Stangmore Park from Glenavon four years ago.

"He's been a good servant for Dungannon but I also feel the club has helped further his career," added Fay.

The Stangmore Park ground had been fogbound for much of the afternoon and referee Alan Black took the decision to call off the game shortly before 1900 GMT.

Fay and DC boss Paddy Kelly both said they agreed with Black's decision.
