Browne combined well with Andrew Waterworth for the Whites |
Gary Browne's second-half hat-trick earned Lisburn Distillery a surprisingly conclusive victory over Dungannon at Stangmore Park. Dungannon's Adrian McCaffrey and Mark McAllister had first-half efforts while Distillery's Paul Muir tested Dwayne Nelson at the other end of the field.
Browne drilled in Distillery's opener on 53 minutes and he added a penalty two minutes later.
The former Glentoran player completed his hat-trick five minutes from time.
The home side started brightly and Whites goalkeeper Chris McCluskey, who had replaced Philip Matthews, did well to stop McCaffrey and McAllister efforts.
The only other moments of note were Muir's shot on the half-hour which tested Dungannon keeper Nelson and Paul Baron's near-thing for the Swifts when he headed over the bar.
Browne's 53rd-minute opener came direct from a free kick and he doubled Distillery's lead from the spot two minutes later after substitute Stephen Cunningham had fouled Andrew Waterworth.
More good work from Waterworth set up Browne's third with the ex-Glens player producing a close-range finish.
