Ballymena enjoyed a 3-0 win over derby rivals Larne who had Paul Hamilton sent-off on 89 minutes for bringing down Kevin Kelbie inside the area. After a poor first half, Kelbie headed in from a free-kick by substitute David Cushley on 74 minutes following a foul.
Darren Fitzgerald made it 2-0 with a neat backheel after 85 minutes and Cushley fired home a free-kick a minute from time after Hamilton was sent-off.
Home striker Davitt Walsh was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.
