Glenavon striker Lewis Hamlin squandered first-half opportunities |
Limavady moved off the bottom of the Carnegie Premier League thanks to this victory at the Showgrounds. Glenavon dominated the first half and Lewis Hamlin wasted two early chances before Eamon Murray's lob hit the United crossbar.
Martin Ferry scored the Limavady goal on 55 minutes with an excellent header from Trevor McLernon's free-kick.
Ferry was also the hero at the other end when he blocked a goal-bound shot from Stephen McGuinness.
