 Stephen Garrett got the equaliser for Newry against Glenavon |
Substitute Sean Friars headed in from a Steven Ferguson cross in the 89th minute to give Newry victory. Glenavon felt they should have had a penalty in the first half when Neil Gawley was pulled back but a free was given on the edge of the area.
Paul Walsh gave Glenavon the lead with a superb shot on 66 minutes after defender Emmett Friars had headed out.
City equalised in the 73rd minute when Stephen Garrett was left free to head in at the back post.
