Dungannon 4-0 Linfield
Dungannon's Niall McGinn celebrates his goal
Dungannon's Niall McGinn celebrates his goal with Finbar Heffernan
Dungannon produced the shock result of the Premier League season as they got their first win of the campaign by hammering unbeaten champions Linfield.

Niall McGinn pounced on 25 minutes to shoot past Blues keeper Alan Mannus.

Linfield defender William Murphy scored an own goal in the 56th minute as the ball came off his knee and head after Shea Campbell had driven it across.

Campbell fired in the third after mannus had saved McGinn's effort and Shane McCabe wrapped up the shock win.

It was Dungannon's first win over Linfield and revenge for the County Tyrone side who lost the Irish Cup final to Linfield on penalties in May.

"It is hard to believe - nobody dreams of beating Linfield 4-0," said Swifts manager Harry Fay.

"But I had said it was coming because our performances have not been as bad as our results suggested.

"I am delighted for the lads because they have had a bit of stick.

"They have stuck together and some of the football today was top-notch.

"But it would be an awful shame if we do not go on from this.

"It is only three points. We have to build on this result and get ourselves up that league table."
