David Scullion hit his first hat-trick for Glentoran at Suffolk Road |
Glentoran missed out on the chance to go to the top of the Carnegie Premier League when they could only draw away to Donegal Celtic. The Glerns led twice but needed a second-half equaliser from hat-trick hero David Scullion for the point.
Scullion pounced for the opener after 43 seconds but Paul McDonald headed in the equaliser in the 11th minute.
Scullion punished poor marking to make it 2-1 but DC hit back with goals from Ciaran Gargan and Ciaran Donaghy.
That Gargan goal came direct from a corner in the 14th minute as Glens keeper Michael Dougherty came under pressure.
Then Donaghy headed in on 40 minutes from another corner.
