Striker Andy Smith scored on his debut for Portadown

Smith was left free to score on 54 minutes after Armagh keeper Stuart Addis had misjudged a bouncing ball.

Portadown had initially taken the lead in the 11th minute when Gary McCutcheon held off a defender to wrongfoot Addis.

But within two minutes City were level as David Hawthorne's shot on the turn found the net with the visitors' first real effort of the game.
