Portadown 3-4 Crusaders
David Rainey
David Rainey scored a brace for Crusaders
Crusaders twice came from two goals down to reach the semi-finals of the CIS Cup with this win at Shamrock Park.

Gary McCutcheon scored with a 20-yard shot on six minutes and Marc McCann beat Gregg Shannon three minutes later.

Declan Caddell pulled one back on 31 minutes but McCutcheon stabbed the ball home a minute before the interval.

David Rainey hammered in an angled shot from 20 yards on 53 minutes and fired home on 58 before Stevie Coulter curled a shot past David Miskelly after 59.

McCutcheon opened the scoring with a fine solo effort, ghosting past a defender and taking one touch before scoring with a low drive past Shannon.

Kevin Braniff sent McCann through for the second and he drilled the ball past Shannon after beating the offside trap.

Caddell rose to glance a header into the net from Rainey's cross but McCutcheon restored the two-goal lead when he netted on the half-volley after being left unmarked to receive McCann's cross.

Lockhart cushioned the ball into the path of Rainey for the Crues' second and Rainey then got in on the act himself, running onto the ball and beating David Miskelly.

Coulter's strike a minute later proved decisive and completed a successful week for the Shore Road men.
