Chris Morrow headed in Crusaders's second goal |
Crusaders secured their second win of the week over Ballymena at Seaview. Albert Watson, Johnny Flynn, Simon Kelly and Stephen Lowry went close for the Sky Blues in the first half.
Stevie Coulter gave the Crues the lead with a flicked header from a Darren Lockhart free-kick after 61 minutes and then Chris Morrow headed in on 73.
Coulter grabbed his second goal of the game when he placed the ball past Paul Murphy after being left unmarked on 85 to compound United's recent misery.
Early in the game, Gregg Shannon saved well after Watson met the impressive Stuart King's free-kick while Flynn's half-volley was blocked by David Magowan.
Shannon also denied Kelly as Ballymena enjoyed the better of the first half but were unable to find the net.
Chris McQuillan provided the ammunition for Morrow's header in the second half.
