Champions Linfield did not hit top form but still had too much firepower for Limavady United at Windsor Park. Striker Glenn Ferguson pounced for a close-range goal following a Damien Curran corner on 11 minutes.
Scorer supreme Ferguson netted again with another header, beating the Limavady defence to Aidan O'Kane's left-wing cross on 62 minutes.
Six minutes later substitute O'Kane blasted in the third goal with a thumping volley past Glenn Miller.
