Damien Johnson faces a race against time for Liechtenstein tie | Birmingham's Damien Johnson looks set miss Northern Ireland's Euro 2008 qualifier against Liechtensein on 22 August because of a hamstring injury. Johnson suffered a suspected tear in a pre-season friendly against Walsall at the Bescot Stadium last weekend. The 28-year-old Blues skipper has undergone a scan to determine the extent of the problem. Johnson's absence in the Northern Ireland midfield would be a blow to new manager Nigel Worthington. If Johnson's injury is of a serious nature, Worthington may look to Grant McCann, Michael Hughes or Steve Lomas to fill the void for the Windsor Park clash.
