Ex-NI Under-21 player McChrystal left Derry City last December |
Former Northern Ireland under-21 international Mark McChrystal has opted to return to Derry City after turning down a move to Glentoran. Derry boss John Robertson moved to sign McChrystal from Partick Thistle to fill the gap which will be left by the expected departure of Darren Kelly.
Kelly is now being linked with a move to Kilmarnock.
Gretna, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Dundee United have also been linked with the central defender.
Former Carlisle player Kelly requested a transfer because his partner is keen to move back to the North West of England.
McChrystal left Derry City last December to sign a 18-month contract with Partick Thistle.
