David Scullion has been impressive at Dungannon Swifts |
Glentoran have won the race to sign Dungannon Swifts winger David Scullion. The Glens are believed to have matched the offer made by Newry City earlier this week and the fee is thought to be in the region of 10,000.
The Northern Ireland U21 international has also agreed personal terms and has joined former team-mates Michael Ward and Rory Hamill in moving to the Oval.
The switch will disappoint Newry boss Gerry Flynn and other clubs who had expressed an interest in the player.
Scullion was unveiled as Alan McDonald's latest signing on Saturday.
He has signed a two-year contract with an option of a further year.
