Paul Leeman scored a crucial winner for Glentoran at the Oval |
Paul Leeman struck with two minutes left at the Oval to give the Glens a victory which moves them back to within four points of league leaders Linfield. Glentoran were restricted to long range efforts in the first half while Johnny Tumelty went close for Crusaders.
Crues keeper Neil Armstrong palmed away a Kyle Neill free-kick before skipper Leeman secured a vital win with a header from Gary Hamilton's corner.
Linfield can still retain the title if they beat Glentoran on Saturday.
It was a poor opening half - the first shot came after 33 minutes from Glentoran midfielder Sean Ward.
A great pass from Anto Crawford found Tumelty two minutes from the break but his fierce shot was smothered by Glens keeper Elliott Morris.
Leeman also found the net on 74 minutes but referee Frankie Hiles ruled his headed finish out for pushing.
