Referee Mark Courtenay is the subject of a Portadown complaint |
Carnegie Premier League club Portadown have made an official complaint to the IFA over referee Mark Courtney. The Ports have questioned Courtney's performances in all their games in which he has officiated this season.
They include last Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Cliftonville in the JJB Sports Irish Cup quarter-finals.
Portadown have highlighted a number of incidents to the IFA, including the allowing of Cliftonville's second goal in the Solitude tie.
The club argue that their keeper Kevin Pressman was fouled in the build-up to the goal, allowing Gary Kennedy's free-kick from wide to go directly into the net.
Earlier this season Courtney awarded a penalty against the Ports for handball against midfielder Michael Collins.
Portadown claimed video evidence was available to show Collins was not guilty of the offence.
