Conor Downey's move to Linfield has been finalised after his former club Cliftonville agreed an undisclosed transfer fee for the midfielder. The fee is believed to be worth in the region of �8,000 to �10,000.
The paperwork has been processed so Downey will be available for Saturday's match with Portadown at Windsor Park.
Downey was also being pursued by Glentoran, Portadown and Derry City and was linked with a move to Oldham but chose to join the league champions.
He expressed a desire to play full-time football and will now battle it out for a place in the Blues' midfield.
The deal is believed to include Cliftonville being allowed use of Windsor Park for any potential European matches should they qualify for European competition.
