Conor Downey has been in superb form for Cliftonville |
Oldham Athletic have become the latest club to express interest in Cliftonville midfielder Conor Downey. The English League One outfit want Downey to undertake a trial although the player has yet to decide whether to accept the offer.
Downey has already held discussions with Glentoran and Linfield this week.
He is scheduled to meet with Portadown boss Ronnie McFall, Bohemians manager Sean Connor and Derry City boss Pat Fenlon over the weekend.
Downey met Glentoran manager Paul Millar on Wednesday and he described Thursday's discussions with Linfield manager David Jeffrey as "brilliant".
There have also been reports that Ballymena United may make an offer for Downey although the Braidmen have not yet been in touch with Cliftonville.
English League Two outfit Peterborough United and Scottish First Division club Gretna have also been linked with Downey.
