Vincent Sweeney had an impressve season with Cliftonville |
Cliftonville striker Vincent Sweeney has been cleared of any wrongdoing in a Carnegie Premier match at Ballymena on the grounds of insufficient evidence. Allegations of misconduct were first made by Ballymena United after the game at the Showgrounds on 27 January.
The club subsequently withdrew the complaint after receiving an apology from Sweeney who denied any wrongdoing before an IFA Disciplinary Committee.
The striker had been banned after failing to attend a hearing last week.
That suspension from all domestic football has now been lifted.
Sweeney came on as a substitute in Saturday's 1-1 Intertoto Cup with FC Dinaburg at Windsor Park and will be in the squad for the return leg on Sunday.
