McVeigh scored from the penalty spot on 10 minutes after Andy Cleary handled inside the area. The pressure from the home side paid further dividends when Pat McAllister hammered home a volley on 45 minutes. McVeigh grabbed his second of the match when he headed in from a Sean Armstrong cross after 59 minutes.
