Eamon Doherty scored the winner for Limavady United |
Larne remain rooted to the bottom of the Carnegie Premier Lesgue despite a determined display at the Showgrounds. They went behind to a 35th-minute penalty scored by Martin Cutmore after Stephen Lowry had been brought down by goalkeeper Chris Keenan.
Stephen McCain levelled for Larne in the 55th minute with a looping header.
United got the winner on 67 minutes as Eamon Doherty fired in and William Wharry of Larne was sent-off for protesting that Keenan had been fouled.
As if to underline Larne's unlucky day, Bertie Fulton hit the bar near the end.
After the game the Inver Park club announced that striker Paul McKnight had been signed from Glenavon.
