Paddy McLaughlin scored twice as Newry got the better of Armagh City. McLaughlin headed in unmarked from a Damien Curran corner on six minutes but Shea Campbell converted Mark Turkington's delivery a minute later.
McLaughlin was on hand to fire in a right wing cross from close range on 13
and Andy Crawford and Stephen Ferguson had chances to add to Newry's tally.
Darren King sealed the win when he cut inside and launched a shot into the top corner from 25 yards after 62 minutes.
Newry keeper Robert Robinson denied Johnny Walker.
