Cliftonville moved to within five points of Carnegie Irish League leaders Glentoran by beating Newry City 2-1 at the Showgrounds on Tuesday night. Andy Crawford put the home side ahead in the 18th minute after good work by Kevin Keegan and Richard Clarke.
However, Cliftonville levelled nine minutes later when Chris Scannell connected with a Declan O'Hara cross.
George McMullan scored Cliftonville's winner in the 60th minute with a shot from 18 yards.
The ball broke to McMullan after Conor Downey had been tackled by Ian Curran.
