Michael Halliday was on target in Glentoran's league win |
Three goals in four minutes gave Carnegie Premier League leaders Glentoran victory over 10-man Loughgall at Lakeview Park on Saturday. Alain Emerson netted after 29 minutes to give Loughgall an undeserved lead.
Kevin Henry was dismissed on 74 minutes after a tussle with Darren Lockhart and seconds later the Glens were level.
Kyle Neill converted from the penalty spot after a foul on Gary Hamilton with Hamilton making it 2-1 before Michael Halliday hit a superb third.
Emerson placed the ball past Elliott Morris and into the corner of the Glens net for the opener.
Hamilton was denied by the woodwork in the first half when he headed off a post from Neill's cross.
Loughgall keeper Stuart Addis brought down Hamilton for the spot-kick before the former Ports star got the final touch in a goalmouth scramble just two minutes later.
Halliday's goal was the highlight of the game - the forward curling the ball into the net from 20 yards.
Paul Millar's side remain three points clear at the top while Loughgall have slipped into bottom spot.
