 Stephen O'Flynn was denied by the woodwork at the Brandywell | Derry missed the chance to close the gap on Eircom Premier League leaders Shelbourne after this stalemate at the Brandywell on Friday night. The Shels drew 2-2 with Drogheda but City failed to take advantage and remain three points back in second. Ken Oman wasted City's first good chance on 10 minutes when he headed wide from close range. Mark Farren and Stephen O'Flynn also went close for City before O'Flynn hit the crossbar in injury-time.
