Davy McAlinden and Chris Scannell were on target for Cliftonville as they beat Ballymena to claim second place in the Carnegie Premier League. The Reds took the lead on 28 minutes when David McAlinden headed in from a fine George McMullan delivery.
Defender Albert Watson hooked in United's equaliser in the 48th minute.
McAlinden then saw a penalty saved by Ballymena keeper Paul Murphy before Scannell fired in Cliftonville's winner on 63 minutes.
Scannell found the net from six yards after Conor Downey found room to cross.
Cliftonville are two points behind leaders Glentoran who are the only team with a 100% record.
