Glenavon's Paul McKnight beat Chris Keenan with a delicate lob |
Glenavon picked up their first league point of the 2006-07 campaign thanks to a Paul McKnight equaliser against Larne at Mourneview Park. Larne, hammered 4-0 by Newry a week earlier, made the ideal start when Colm Kearney netted from eight yards after Bertie Fulton's half-hit shot.
Kearney missed chances to add to his tally as Larne stayed on top.
Glenavon got level five minutes after half-time as McKnight went through to chip keeper Chris Keenan.
"We have a problem holding on to leads this season," admitted Larne boss Jim Hagan.
"It is a problem which we will have to get over."
