 Andy Crawford netted for Newry on the stroke of half-time |
Andy Crawford secured a point for Newry in Friday night's Carnegie Premier League game at the Showgrounds. DC striker Daniel Lyons put the visitors ahead after seven minutes with a close-range finish.
City levelled in the final minute of the first half when Crawford headed in from a Steven Ferguson cross.
Newry dominated the second half and substitute Lee Feeney and Ray Fitzpatrick both hit the woodwork in the same attack on 72 minutes.
Both teams move up to five points with DC edging out City on goal difference.
