Newry City's Lee Feeney went close with a chip from 30 yards |
A fine save by Robert Robinson helped earn Newry their first point of the new league campaign in a goal-less draw at home to Lisburn Distillery. Robinson had to react quickly on 75 minutes after a shot from Gareth McKeown struck Paul McLaughlin's head and flew towards the City goal.
For Newry, Lee Feeney's long-range chip went just over the Distillery crossbar.
Newry midfielder Richard Clarke fed the ball through for David Ward but his hurried shot went wide of the target.
