Colin Nixon scored Glentoran's opener

Nixon netted after Gavin Cushley parried a Kyle Neill free-kick on 30 minutes while Halliday had a chance and Mark Turkington of City was off target.

Morgan backheeled home the second from six yards with five minutes remaining and then set up Halliday for the third.

The striker fed the ball to Halliday who slid the ball under the goalkeeper.

Before Nixon's opener, Halliday's shot was tipped wide by Cushley and Gary Hamilton had a penalty claim turned down.

Halliday orchestrated affairs in the second period as the Glens dominated the game.
