Gareth McGlynn scored two of Derry's goals at Hogan Park | Derry City progressed to the Eircom League Cup final by easing to a 3-0 win over Limerick in Wednesday's semi-final at Hogan Park. After a dull first half, Gareth McGlynn put Derry ahead in the 57th minute after good work by Pat McCourt. Stephen O'Flynn struck Derry's second goal on 61 minutes after Limerick keeper Austin O'Neill had parried a close-range Mark Farren effort. McGlynn's second goal of the night on 69 minutes completed Derry's victory.
