 Allan Smart, Gary McCutcheon and Peter Kennedy helped the Ports win |
First half goals from Scottish strikers Gary McCutcheon and Allan Smart earned Portadown victory at Shamrock Park. McCutcheon slotted the opener past Neil Armstrong for his fifth goal of the season after four minutes.
Smart converted his third of the campaign on 34 minutes but was dismissed two minutes later for an elbowing offence on Colin Coates.
The second half was a disappointing affair but McCutcheon had a late chance but blasted the ball over the bar.
Crusaders' Darren Stirling saw his first half penalty saved by Michael Dougherty.
