Vincent Sweeney scored against his former club

Ballymena took the lead on 26 minutes when Lee Patrick beat Michael Doherty with a well placed chip after being left unmarked at the edge of the area.

Stephen Parkhouse equalised when he chested the ball down from Gordon Simms' clearance and volleyed past Paul Murphy from 20 yards out on 49 minutes.

Sweeney grabbed the winner by rounding Murphy and steering the ball in from an acute angle.

Martin Cuttmore supplied the cross for the winner after Kevin Kelbie had just missed a glorious chance for United.
