Former NI ace Rory Hamill will be a target for a number of clubs |
Glentoran are leading the chase to sign Rory Hamill after the striker was shown the door by Ballymena United. The 30-year-old former Northern Ireland international is "actively looking for a club", according to Sky Blues manager Tommy Wright.
Coleraine attempted to re-sign Hamill earlier this month but terms could not be agreed.
The Glens are favourites to sign the former Oval favourite but Portadown and Glenavon could also make a move.
Hamill, who has one year left on his contract, had talks with Glentoran at the end of last season but his wage demands proved too much for the east Belfast club.
Hamill joined Ballymena from Coleraine in 2004 but managed just 14 goals in 69 appearances.
