Peter Thompson scored Linfield's second goal at Harlow | Carnegie Premier League champions Linfield beat Ryman League side Harlow Town 2-0 in Saturday's pre-season friendly at the Sportscentre. Paul McAreavey gave David Jeffrey's side the lead in the 42nd minute when his quickly-taken free-kick beat a surprised home keeper. Peter Thompson, the top scorer in the Irish League last season, got the second goal on 56 minutes. Linfield's next game is Thursday's glamour friendly at home to Rangers.
