Linfield captain Noel Ballie is focused on beating the Slovenians |
Linfield's first-leg clash with Gorcia in the first qualifying round of the Uefa Champions League will take place at 1800 BST at Windsor Park on 11 July. The second leg in Slovenia is currently scheduled for 19 July.
The Carnegie Premier League champions have a massive incentive to progress as they would face Steaua Bucharest in the second qualifying round.
Linfield got through one round in Europe last season, beating Ventspils of Latvia on away goals.
Blues skipper Noel Bailie admits he knows nothing about the Slovenian opposition but added that any Champions League qualifier was always tough.
"We took a lot of heart from getting through the first round last year and we'll be trying our best to progress again," he said.
"We are training hard to try and get ourselves fit and it is always a disadvantage that other sides are in their season. We showed last year we can overcome that."
"It would be fantastic to play Steaua Bucharest but we can't look beyond going to Slovenia."
