Jeffrey gets new four-year deal
Linfield manager David Jeffrey
David Jeffrey led Linfield to a domestic clean sweep
Linfield have given manager David Jeffrey a new four-year deal that will take him to the end of the 2010 season.

It is the longest contract in the history of Linfield who achieved the domestic clean sweep last season.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be recognised by the club in this way," Jeffrey told the News Letter.

"This is a tremendous boost to me personally and it allows me to concentrate on team plans well into the future."

Jeffrey, a former Linfield defender, guided the Blues to four trophies in the past nine months and had one year of his present contract to run.

He has been manager of the Windsor Park outfit for over nine years.
