Midfielder Young forced to retire
Glentoran's Scott Young
Glentoran's Scott Young suffered three broken legs in two years
Injury-plagued Glentoran midfielder Scott Young has been forced to retire from football at just 29 years old.

The talented Glaswegian has been told he cannot play again after breaking his right leg three times in the space of just two years.

Young joined Glentoran in 1998 from Dunfermline and won every medal in the local game. He made 222 appearances for the Glens, scoring 38 goals.

Meanwhile, Kyle Neill and Cullen Feeney have signed their Glentoran contracts.

Neill has penned a two-year deal and Feeney one year and they are to be joined later this week by former Portadown team-mate Gary Hamilton.

Former Instiute and Ards keeper Ciaran McLaughlin is also expected to confirm his move to the Oval this week and Jason Hill will complete his return to the Glens from Ards.
