Spackman poised for switch to DC
Alex Spackman
Alex Spackman will add top-flight experience to the DC squad
Larne goalkeeper Alex Spackman is set to join Carnegie Premier League newboys Donegal Celtic.

Spackman has agreed to sign for the west Belfast side but Larne will not release the player until boss Jim Hagan finds a replacement.

Celtic have already signed former Lisburn Distillery striker Sean Armstrong as they attempt to strengthen their squad for the top-flight.

Former Institute midfielder Tommy McCallion is another target for DC.

Celtic parted with over 1,000 to bring Armstrong, a nephew of Northern Ireland legend Gerry Armstrong, to the Suffolk Road club.

Spackman is the latest big name to leave Larne this summer following the departures of Mark Dickson, Kris Lindsay and Gary McCutcheon.

Dickson and Lindsay have joined Linfield while McCutcheon has returned to Portadown.
