Blues to increase full-time staff
Linfield manager David Jeffrey
Manager David Jeffrey wants to increase Linfield's full-time staff
Linfield manager David Jeffrey intends to increase the number of full-time professional players at Windsor Park.

Northern Ireland striker Peter Thompson was recently joined on the full-time staff by midfielders Paul McAreavey and Michael Gault.

Jeffrey said he and the club wanted that number to increase.

"The club and I share the same vision. I would like to have between six and eight full-time players in the next three years," said the Blues boss.

"The more full-time players we have the better it will be for the club."

The Ulster Star newspaper said Carryduff-based goalkeeper Alan Mannus was tipped to become Linfield's fourth full-time player.

Meanwhile, Jeffrey said he wanted to make one more signing before the start of the season.

Timmy Adamson, Mark McGinnis, Mark Dickson and Kris Linsday have already agreed to join the Irish League and Cup winners.
