Grant Dunlop, son of manager George, was the hero for Bangor as his sixth minute goal secured victory over the Whites at Ballyskeagh on Saturday. Jim McCloskey ran through the defence and set up Dunlop, who scored with a sliced shot into the bottom corner.
McCloskey almost added to the score while Francis Murphy, Sean Armstrong and Paul Muir had chances for Lisburn.
The Whites were reduced to ten men when Darren Armour was sent-off for an elbow on Johnny Cheevers after 58 minutes.
McCloskey, a former Whites player, had several opportunities to score, including a header which was tipped over the bar, a free-kick which hit the post and a shot blocked.
Murphy was over with an effort, while Muir and Armstrong both forced fine saves from Seasiders' keeper Ryan Brown.
At the other end, Brian Russell and David Officer were denied by Phillip Matthews.
Gareth McKeown, Ryan Catney and Ryan McCann also had chances for Distillery, but to no avail.
